For the nine months 2019 the sum of the inventory imported to the territory of the Republic of Artsakh accounted for 102.8 milliard dram, which went beyond the last year’s index by 12.8 miliard dram or by 14.2 percent. The sum of inventory exported from the territory of Artsakh for the same period was 82.4 miliard dram up by 4.4 percent from the same period last year.
The dominant part of export and import was carried out on Vardenis-Martakert and Goris-Stepanakert highways. At the same time, according to the data recorded at the checkpoints located on these sections within the nine months of 2019, 86.5 percent of exported goods were exported to Vardenis-Martakert highway and 11.9% to Goris-Stepanakert highway. The share of imported goods in Vardenis-Martakert and Goris-Stepanakert highways makes 65.4% and 34.2% of total imports, respectively.
Import and export transactions were also carried out through the newly opened "Mijnaberd" checkpoint on the first kilometer of the new Karvachar-Vardenis section of the highway. Particularly, according to the data recorded at the checkpoint, in September imports accounted for 13.8 million dram and exports accounted for 2.2 million dram.
