Total indices of inventory export and import on the territory of the Republic of Artsakh for the first half 2020
For the first half 2020 the sum of the inventory imported to the territory of the Republic of Artsakh accounted for 63 milliard dram, which is 4.5 milliard dram or by 6.7 percent less than in the same period of the last year. In the same period, the sum of the inventory exported to the territory of the Republic of Artsakh accounted for 42.4 milliard dram compared to 52.5 milliard drams in the same period of the last year, or by 19.2% less. The volume of imports from the main product groups decreased in terms of construction materials, industrial goods, spare parts, electrical appliances. The decline in exports is associated with a decrease in the export of mining products, which have a large share in the structure of exports, and international copper prices. The spread of a new type of coronavirus infection had an impact on the import and export volumes of the mentioned product groups. The dominant part of export and import was carried out on Vardenis-Martakert and Goris-Stepanakert highways. At the same time, according to the data recorded at the checkpoints located on these sections during first half 2020, 66% of imported goods were imported to Vardenis-Martakert highway and 32.7% to Goris-Stepanakert highway. The share of exported goods in Vardenis-Martakert and Goris-Stepanakert highways makes 82.5% and 14.6% of total exports, respectively.
